The internet provides a wealth of information for students of all ages.  Students at NES are given a crash course in computer safety every year, because as with all good things the internet can be abused and misused. Just a little diligence by parents and some good knowledge imparted to the children can go along way to keeping children safe. A number of good internet safety websites are out there, but here a couple we used.
